Hello, Great Southwest Railway Adventures is going to leave the Island of Sodor... But don't worry it won't be for too long. Only for one season.
The series will go under a little change for Season 3: will be set off outside Sodor.
- Why this change?
Because once I add a scene at the end of Return to Sodor! The Movie, where Jordyn decides to stay on the Mainland and making Philipo return to Sodor without her. So, I say "Why don't do this without the dramatic goodbye scene and take the engines to the Mainland?" and also, this was made in order to follow the series continuity since Engines to the Rescue!, basically, the entire movie was set in the Mainland and only Sodor had only a few minutes of screen time. So the change was made for that.
- The season will still be called Season 3?
Not, the Series 3 name will be "Adventures on the Mainland!".
- This change will be permanent?
Of course not! Like Thomas the Tank Engine, Philipo wanted to see the world... well a part of it... Not so far from Sodor or England.
- And the synopsis from it?
Basically, Philipo and his friends left Sodor and set off to the Mainland and they will stay there and will have adventures there like they do in Sodor and will go to other places in U.K like Scotland and other places.
- How long will you wait 'till then?
Who knows, this season is on pre-production stage, but the most probably date might be Fall 2018 - Early 2019.
